In Ultimate Member, the Verified User feature allows you to mark certain users as verified, which can help establish trust within your community or platform. Verified users often represent individuals who have undergone some form of authentication process, such as confirming their email addresses, completing a detailed profile, or meeting specific criteria set by the site administrator.

This feature is commonly used on membership or community-based sites to distinguish between regular and verified users, such as:

Here's how you can use and implement the Verified User feature in Ultimate Member:

Using the Built-in Verification Feature: Ultimate Member has a built-in user verification system that allows you to mark users as verified after a certain process, such as email verification or manual admin approval.

Steps to enable basic email verification:

Install and activate the Ultimate Member plugin if you haven’t already.

Go to Ultimate Member > Settings > General.

Enable Email Verification during user registration, so users are required to verify their email address after registering.

Once a user verifies their email, you can assign them a Verified User role manually via the WordPress Admin Dashboard or Ultimate Member profile page.

• After email verification or other validation steps, an admin can manually update a user’s status as “Verified” in their profile or in the user management section.

Using Custom User Roles or Badges: You can customize a verified user badge or create a custom user role that marks users as verified. This helps distinguish verified users visually in their profiles and across the platform.

Steps to create a custom role (verified users):

1. Go to Ultimate Member > User Roles.
2. Click Add New to create a new role, such as "Verified User."
3. Customize the role’s capabilities, permissions, and visibility.
4. Manually assign this role to verified users either through the user profile in the Admin Dashboard or by using Advanced Access Manager plugins if you want to automate certain rules.
